The Highlights

A packed house of fashion lovers enjoyed cocktails, bites from new restaurant 7 Lamps, a DJ and a runway show that not only featured top fall looks, but also an amazing group of ovarian cancer survivors walking the catwalk with the professional models. New York and Paris-trained designer David Peck flew in from his native Texas to showcase his vibrant, feminine frocks, while jeweler/philanthropist Joan Hornig displayed gorgeous, earthy gems with proceeds from each purchase going to the charity of your choice. Local designer Ava Maistrellis was also on hand to showcase her handcrafted Italian, “Silver Lining” wallets collection. A DJ rocked girl-power tunes as these inspiring women showcased fall looks from hot labels like Lela Rose, Michael Kors, Rachel Zoe, Roberto Cavalli, Yigal Azrouel, Robert Rodrigues, Diane von Furstenberg and Alice + Olivia. A luxe auction including a custom dinner at Murphy’s, David Yurman jewels, and a Bulgari bag, contributed further funds to the GOCA cause.
