Street Cred.
Julia B., Westside, Atlanta
- Photographed and created by Jason Travis
Introducing our new fashion column Street Cred: a dissected look at Atlanta’s style tribes & their sources, captured on the street by noted photographer Jason Travis.
How would you describe your style?
Man, how do I begin? Un peu de tout ! There are no rules. I believe that you shouldn't turn down a style based on the fact that you consider yourself a "certain type". However, given that, wearing the thing that best suits you and makes you feel the most confident is very important. I would describe my personal style as a mix between vintage, mod, menswear, and eclectic.
If I had to put that into words... hmm, Annie Hall in a Jean Luc Godard film.
Main design influence?
Old movies!
Favorite place to shop?
For vintage finds, I love thrifting or Poor Little Rich Girl in Atlanta. The girls there are really sweet and have a great sense of style. For new styles, I shop mostly at Squash Blossom Boutique in Decatur, or Evolve Boutique in Emory Village.
